Comments about Canon Canon EOS 60D Digital SLR Camera Body, 18 Megapixels, Black - U.S.A. Warranty:
My second DSLR, first was a Canon T1i. I have used it for about 3 months at this time, taken about 1800 pictures. This camera is a nice upgrade from the T1i--a chunkier, heavier & a bit better build. I took it to Costa Rica, when it was almost new and was completely satisfied with the camera, although I should have used it a bit more before the trip, because I was still learning about the controls, which are slightly different and a bit better than the T1i. Battery life is very good, feels good in my hand. It is nice that Rebel accessories, such as the remote release, work on the 60D, which they wouldn't have on the 50D. High ISO performance is good and it has a long list of features, all of which makes the camera fun to use. For me, this is a camera to keep for quite awhile, and really explore photography.

Comments about Canon Canon EOS 60D Digital SLR Camera Body, 18 Megapixels, Black - U.S.A. Warranty:
This camera is what I've been waiting for! I've owned 2 Canon 7D's for over a year and love them, but have been frustrated with the limitations in viewing when shooting video in low/high positions. Sometimes the shot you need to get is from the ground angled upwards towards your subject, and the Canon 60D with its awesome tilt screen allows you to get that money shot! I have not noticed a difference in the quality of video or images shot using the 60D compared to my 7D.The only major difference is the 60D's body is slightly smaller than the 7D, and doesn't have the magnesium alloy body. Other than that, it is a great addition to my Canon line up for primarily shooting wedding videos.

After only having this camera for a month now and putting it through its paces I would highly recommend the Canon 60D to any professional or amateur photographer.

The main thing that is missing in the 60D is MA. Micro Adjustments which is a helpful feature to have to calibrate a lenses auto focus if your having front/back focusing issues with a particular lens. If this is crucial to you go with the 7D. However, if its not crucial and you don't mind 5fps burst vs the 7Ds 8fps you will be very happy with the 60D. After having the 50D I actually like the body feel and weight better. The 50D feels almost too heavy especially carrying around your neck all day. The 60D isn't magnesium alloy like the 50D but it still feels very sturdy in hand and the image quality is far superior to the 50D in my opinion. The menu set is very similar to the 50D except for the jog and toggle/joy stick has been joined together, which takes a little getting use to but no big deal. With the 60D you get the in camera RAW processing capabilities, which is a plus. So now I can select certain RAW images I want to change to JPG in camera with out having to use my laptop. Never liked RAW+Jpeg for all images b/c it uses up so much space on memory cards. As for memory its SD not compact flash, which I like b/c I have a Macbook Pro that has SD reader built in. Not a deal breaker for me especially with SDXC massive storage 2TB and Class 10 speeds and future speeds 104 MB sec up to 300 MB per second according to SD association website. Low light is still a bit noisy but coupled with Adobe Lightrooms new noise reduction you can get some impressive results even up at max ISO. As for video low light it's impressive for the price point, up to ISO 800 with my inexpensive 50mm 1.8 you get little to no noise and now you can alter the Kelvin(color) temp manually which is nice. In my opinion Canon DSLR video is far superior to Nikon due to more frame rates at 1920 x 1080. There's a reason why anywhere from indie, to professional filmmakers choose Canon over Nikon for video. So if your serious the choice is clear as far as video is concerned.

Go out and buy it NOW!! I have had Canon 10D, Digital Rebel XT, 50D and also have a Canon HF10 HD camcorder and the 60D has been a more exciting and versatile camera than any of the above cameras mentioned. The image quality and video quality is amazing. The articulating screen is no marketing gimmick it 's handy when shooting video also comes in handy when taking some photographs. Being able to angle the screen helps you to see your subject better. Also it gives you the ability to get in at awkward shooting angles both high and low so that you can level with your subject. The menus are intuitive and couldn't be happier with my purchase. The real question is why shouldn't you upgrade and buy it?

I got the 60D as an upgrade to the T2i I purchased a few months ago. This was a great decision as far as I can see now!
This camera, features-wise, is right between the T2i and the 7D. But to me, three improvements made me happy:
1. The articulating screen! I find this feature so useful that even if it was the only new feature, I would still get the 60D...
2. Exposure bracketing can go as low as -3 and as high as +3 (vs -2 and +2 on the T2i default settings).
3. The auto-focus system seems to work better.
Beside that, there are some other features like the electronic level, the top screen and the high-res preview display that add more to the T2i features.
The only "bad thing" that I found is that the batteries are different then the T2i, so I need to get another spare one now. But I'll give it 5 starts anyway...
