One can take it everywhre, it is small and light weigth.
Complete manual overtaking of controls.
Nice focal length eqv 210 mm.
Ideal, like second camera to the big (D)SLR.
Also 2 AA batteries I like. It is possible to buy them everywhere.

Image quality is good for a point and shoot of this class. A camera for those who want to venture beyond just shooting in auto mode and may not want to lug around a DSLR. The Image Stabalization can be a life saver and given the 6X zoom capabilities is a must. Camera offers manual focus and exposure control with evaluative, center weighted and spot metering capabilities which I use quite often. Menus are not quite intuitive, but with a little reading and practice, the camera is reasonably easy to use. Video capture (with sound) is quite acceptable and the Image stabalization works with that as well. The LCD isn't quite as bright and sharp as I would like, but you can always use the view finder when shooting in bright sunlight. Just beware, there is a little parallax error when shooting in telephoto. Although the camera size is quite small, it doesn't fit well in a shirt pocket. I was well aware of this prior to purchase, but for me function is more important than size. My biggest dissapointment is battery life. You can disable certain functions in order to extend battery life. The upside is that this little camera operates on AA's. I would recommend investing in rechargeable Ni-Mh batteries.

Can not get rid of red eye. Red eye reduction is set on the camera. I tried to use the software to get rid of red eye and that did not work.

The camera fits in the hand nicely. The zoom is smooth and quick with a good IS system. Great battery life with NiMH. Simple and easily accessible controls. The LCD panel washes out in sunlight and the tripod attachment is plastic. Good 8X10 pictures even at ASA 400. Keep an eye out for color balance or you may not get what you want in the photo. All said and done, a well thought out and executed design.
