Comments about Canon Canon Powershot A720 IS Digital Camera Kit, 8.0 MP, 6x Optical, 4x Digital Zoom, 2.5" LCD Screen:

Purchased my 720 from Adorama as "refurbished" and
I can't find any wear at all. Very pleased with my purchase & would not hesitate on purchasing another "refurb" Canon.
All around good portable camera when I don't want to tote my DSLR. Bright screen and good picture quality at lower ISO. Only complaint is the image captured in close up are not framed the same as in the view finder, you need to learn to compensate for this.

This is a great camera!
The SD card it comes with is way to small for my taste. ( 16 MB for 8 pics at high res.)
Get a 1G card for over 200 pics at a time.
The camera takes about 10 seconds between pics.
I think a ultra SD card may help that but I'm not sure.( I'm going to try it when i get more $.)
The thing that surprised me most was how easy it is to use and it takes pictures in complete darkness.
Color, Black and white and fully adjustable if you in to that.
Auto for me it's easy!

This is the third Canon Powershot I've owned (previously, the A80 and most recently, A520). I buy a new one every two years, and the A720IS is the best yet! For less than the cost of a single Canon 50mm f/1.4 lens, you get an entire Digic III based digital camera with an image stabilized zoom that is 35 - 200mm equivalent! I love shooting in wide screen mode - it compliments my monitor perfectly. Image quality is great, the IS is like having an invisible tripod attached, the creative modes are where I shoot the most and I have total control over the camera. The Digic III has all the latest Canon technology built in, and the new, big screen on the back is a huge improvement. [...]

Comments about Canon Canon Powershot A720 IS Digital Camera Kit, 8.0 MP, 6x Optical, 4x Digital Zoom, 2.5" LCD Screen:

I love this little camera. It's light, compact, and I love the 6X zoom in the small package! The 1cm macro is phenomenal. My only complaint is the very slow recycle time when using the flash. Two batteries just doesn't cut it. The only other problem I have is that sometimes I get to used to the image quality of my Canon 30D and L series lenses and am disappointed in the image quality of the A720, but that's to be expected. The A720 can pull out some pretty stunning photos though, especially for what it is.

Another big bonus for the A720 is the availability of a fairly reasonably priced underwater housing for it. (It isn't cheap, but cheaper than most.)
