I chose this camera because of my confidence and experience with the Canon brand. My one year old son threw the amazing sd770 into the in-law's pool. I wanted to replace with a camera that would survive should he decide to do it again. This one fits the bill and is comparable to / better than the photo quality of the 770.

Although I have not yet used this camera for snorkeling (will do that in July), by then I will have had the opportunity to fully learn the D10. Its size is great: quite a difference from my PS S5IS. Very convenient to just grab it and go. Great inside pics w/o the flash. I did loads of research before buying, and everything said about this camera is true!
