I think the SD750 is a great way to get familiar with the Canon Digital Interface. Great camera (esp. for price). Lacks in the area of not having IS. Not a problem in good lighting.

This is my second digital camera and I love it. The large display makes it easy to see and change the settings on the camera. I am also impressed with the focusing speed and accuracy of the camera. Many digital cameras take a second or two to focus and shoot a picture. This one is quick and rarely do we have an issue with out-of-focus pictures. The Li-ion battery lasts a long time. My wife and I visited NYC and didn't bring the charger (just a second battery). I filled a 1 GB card with pictures and still had juice left on the second battery. Anyone looking for a good starter camera would be more than happy with this one.

It Came with a bunch of software that seems pretty complete, but have not had a chance to delve into that yet.

This is a great little camera. I have had it for half a year now and it has traveled with me throughout Europe and has survived it all: it has withstood the intense heat of Southern Spain, it has brushed off the frigid rain of the Swiss Alps and it has survived two left hands (meaning I have dropped it a few times). The camera is super thin so it fits your pocket without making it look like you have something growing out of your hip (which is great when you are traveling). This camera looks great too! When I stopped random people to take a photo of me on my travels, almost without exception I received compliments on the camera. It has great features like face locater, blur stabilizer and red eye eliminator. All in all this is a smart little camera with style! I highly recommend this one!
