Bought this refurbished from Adorama and it looks, feels, and performs like a new camera. Can't tell the difference so why spend the extra money on new? I own a Canon Digital SLR XTi and this SX110IS is my backup camera. It does the job very well. My only advice: get good rechargeable AA batteries as this goes through batteries like crazy.

The instruction book is a long read, I used it only to learn the basic's. For me it's easier to just grab the camera and start shooting and explore the different settings. I also recommend buying a canon refurb, mine looks brand new and came with all the items a new one comes with. overall I'm extremley happy with my new camera.
