Comments about Canon Canon Powershot SX200 IS Digital Camera, 12 Megapixel, 12x Optical, 3" LCD, Blue:

Mostly used for event photos, travel & a lot of "grab" shots. My constant companion. That's why I got another one from Adorama after I lost my first one. Nice build (materials & apparent workmanship). The full-time popped up flash & lack of movie zoom will always be its main shortcomings. But I quickly adapted & relied on it to capture those moments.

Comments about Canon Canon Powershot SX200 IS Digital Camera, 12 Megapixel, 12x Optical, 3" LCD, Blue:

We use this camera primarily for snapshots but it can record good quality scenery shots as well. The huge zoom range is particularly useful and is far easier and quicker than having to swap out lenses on our dslr. There is manual exposure control which is nice for creative work.

However when the light starts fading the camera's autofocus system struggles and we've ended up with a few shots of scenery at dust that are out of focus. When shooting indoors the flash does a credible job. A bit of an annoyance is the pop-up flash that pops up every time, even if flash is not required.

Comments about Canon Canon Powershot SX200 IS Digital Camera, 12 Megapixel, 12x Optical, 3" LCD, Blue:

I was going to purchase this camera from Adorama because of the super zoom lens and the quality of Canon's photos. But, since it has no viewfinder and LCD screens wash out in bright sun, I will not purchase this camera. A lost sale to Canon for omitting the viewfinder on a camera at this price.

I bought this camera in Adorama nine days ago to offer my 10 year son for is birthday and when i arrived to the Hotel my 1ºst concern was to charge the battery. That night he started taking photos to everything and everyone, the cat the dog etc....Next morning i wanted to see the photos and what was my surprise when i saw the tremendous quality of the photos, the same quality that Canon always habitued us. I do recommend this camera from 10 to 90 years old, you will not regret.
