This is 80% of the Fujifilm FinePix S9000/S9500 in a pocket friendly compact size.
Very capable of most things needed for the backpacker or the earth explorer.

The auxilliary lenses are not particularly useful.

Almost all digitals have similar/common menu idems:I bought this camera for two main reasons; RAW output and Fully Manual settings.(why don't they include this on ALL digital cameras ?!?)Secondary was size of the camera, [...], HELLO!Low light focusing and manual focus are Frustrating. (like most small digitals)If you want MANUAL and RAW and SMALL then I would Highly recommend it for the cost.I bought the wide angle and telefoto lenses and they're great.
