This is my third Fuji compact camera. I had an F30 (that was stolen) and replaced it with a highly rated Canon model. I disliked (understatement!) the Canon, and went back to Fuji. Wise move.
The F100 does a good job most of the time, but it is a little slow to write to the memory card, slower than the F30. Flash performance is OK, but not great, and the battery tends to run down relatively fast.
On the plus side, image quality is excellent, focusing is accurate and high ISO performance is much better than average.
It serves my P&S needs well, and that's the most important thing.

The F100fd is from a distinguished line of compact P&S cameras from Fujifilm. It's predecessors have been heralded as some of the best compacts to suit as a back up for a DSLR. Photo enthusiasts loved the low noise and great image quality, even under high ISO.
The F100fd continued this tradition, and added a much more user friendly and useful zoom range. It still produces some of the most pleasent looking images compared to it's peers. And the high ISO still retains low noise levels.
It does have some short comings - Fujifilm has completely abandoned any form of manual control. This model really is a Point and Shoot. This is a drawback for photo enthusiasts, whom may want to use apature or shutter control to access more advanced shooting techniques. With the F100fd this becomes impossible.
However, overall this is a well build, and easy to use compact that will suit most P&S users.

The camera is easy to use and set-up. It is great for your vacation trip where good natural light is available. Camera do not do a good job ajusting camera settings when flash is use. Poor quality in low light situations.

The picture quality is higher than most same class camera. The battry life is only problem. It can only take about 200 shots.

Great camera. The Picture Quality is great. I dont know why people choose other cameras instead of this FujiFilm that performs great like Canons,panasonics etc. Also about the Pink Band issue i have not noticed it on my Photos.
