This is easily the best camera you can buy for under $4,000.00 in the USA. Very rugged construction, sealed body, amazing image sensor, and Nikon D200 reliability. The ONLY thing that may hold this camera back a bit is it's slow frame rate. If you shoots sports or racing, get something else.
If you shoot ANY of the segments I listed above, this is your camera. Click buy now and don't waste your time on anything else. Further, this camera will expose bad glass, so be sure you use good lens's on it as well.

Ended up returning the S5. My plan was to switch from a 5d to the S5 for the increased dynamic range. The images coming out were very soft and not too much could be done to improve it. Maybe the unit I had was defective, don't know but after waisting 3 days with different lenses I got to the conclusion that the S5 is not worth the trouble.
Yes, it gets you a better dynamic range (I was comparing it with a 5d) but it totally lacks sharpness. Almost like there was some plastic film over the sensor. Everything was done in RAW and I have tried the included software. Maybe if all you do is 4x6 images you will be fine but then again there are cheaper P&S that can get you great results for a 4x6. Again, not worth the trouble. Fuji has missed the mark on this one. Sorry.
