Comments about Minox Minox / Leica M3 Classic Digital Camera, 4.0 Megapixel, with Fixed 9.6 mm Lens, (48.36mm on 35mm).:

The name 'Leica' once meant quality.Anything with that name on it was well made and reliable. This is the total antithesis of that: German vis a vis Chinese execution, perhaps. This has got to be a deliberate rip-off, a con, outright theivery by the parties selling this item. Heed the other reviews as well and stay well away. Charming and tempting, but truly rotten underneath. If either Minox or E. Leitz had ANYTHING to do with this horrible piece.., they should be ashamed.
Don't waste your time, much less your money.

Comments about Minox Minox / Leica M3 Classic Digital Camera, 4.0 Megapixel, with Fixed 9.6 mm Lens, (48.36mm on 35mm).:

I thought I had gotten a bad one until I read the other reviews. Image quality varies. Some shots are good, but most have terrible optical distortion. But it's a cute item, and at the price it's nice as a decoration.

i completely agree with clownfish. this is a toy. nothing more. it takes for ever to snap a pix and looking through the viewfinder is quite painful for your eye after a while.
i bought this because it says minox and leica but it will remain on a shelf as collector decoration.

Comments about Minox Minox / Leica M3 Classic Digital Camera, 4.0 Megapixel, with Fixed 9.6 mm Lens, (48.36mm on 35mm).:

Quality is too poor with the following major problems:

(1) Garbled LCD letters/digits
(2) Most of the taken pictures contain only corrupted images
(3) Shutter button doesn't always work
(4) Weak construction

***This item should be considered as a digital camera but a toy for kids.

I knew this would be tiny, but I should have gotten out a ruler before buying--it's ridiculously small! It's really a toy that happens to take fairly dismal pictures. The shutter release is unacceptably long, and the battery life is quite short considering how little power this camera would appear to need. This might be a collector's item but nothing more. Don't waste your money!

Very good for the money
By JRVerified Reviewer from Divide CO on 9/3/2006

Comments about Minox Minox / Leica M3 Classic Digital Camera, 4.0 Megapixel, with Fixed 9.6 mm Lens, (48.36mm on 35mm).:

Shutter release can have a variable delay. Fits in a pocket but realy needs a carying case. Flash attachment is too expensive and limited.
