I bought this camera for my wife to capture our newest grandchild. The time from pushing the button to the picture being taken is so long that we miss most good pictures. We have mostly back of head shots. The camera is too small for me to comfortably operate.

I bought this camera for my daughter. My decision was based on many reviews, professional and amateur user. Photos look great and she had no problem understanding the features, which says much for its ease of use. She has used it every day for the last two months and hasn't complained once, which say much for its reliability.

This camera takes great pictures. The only problems I have are, rather short battery life and too bright of a flash. If i try to take an outdoor picture or a picture in dimly lit place, the flash makes the room or even the outdoors look like it's daytime. If the flash is off though, it is too dark. Maybe there is a setting for a lower flash. Other than that con, this cameras pictures are clear and I love the color settings! They can really make a picture look great.

i have had three cameras;
my first was a
vivatar,
my second was a pro kodak camera,
and now this i think that it will last me a long time,
and i have enjoyed it for a little over five months
and i just keep loving a little more every
day i turn it on.

i think that it has taken most of my favorite pictures!

i am extremely impressed by this device,
and have recommended getting a nikon to everyone
i think is interested in buying a new camera.

Bought camera as Christmas gift for wife. Use camera for family pics, vacation, etc. Very easy to carry and operate. Takes great pics, like the "subject target frame", nice big screen. Only down side is picture button goes off too easy. Often take pics of floor, ceiling, whatever. Delay from red eye flash to actual flash makes some pics too late. For the price you can't beat it. May even buy another for myself.

I bought this for my teenaged daughter, who uses it to make artsy shots (easy with the high resolution) for her school projects and Facebook. We're getting another one for our son to take to Europe this summer, as it's so compact and can take a few bumps, too (but we probably will go with the blue or black instead of plum).

This camera takes great pictures and video. We have had several digital cameras (including a Sony and an older version of the Nikon Coolpix)and this camera has the best photo quality of them all. It's easy to use and to switch between the camera and video functions. There are so many features on this camera that you probably won't ever use, but it's nice to know that they are there if you need them. The autofocus is one of my favorite features. It locates people's faces and uses the area to focus the picture. It even warns you if a person moved or closed their eyes. It's remarkable.

I bought this for my wife, she had trouble with her previous camera and was not getting good pictures or battery life. She loves the small size, ease of use and photo quality.

Very easy use, would recomend to newbies. Yet still has great quality for old time photographers. It isnt as slim as the 210 but still very small. Shutter lag is very minimal. All in all this camera is great!

This camera has a lot of features that you can adjust to take the perfect picture in almost any light, you just have to learn them. Once you do, I'd say this camera takes beautiful shots.

Could use a better image stabilizer, but I could also buy a mini tripod. I wont give the camera too much grief for this.

One thing I have noticed is that the zoom gets a bit fuzzy when used all the way...

I really like the continuous shooting mode and all the features this comes with.

Also, the color options are great to.

And you can crop pictures and brigten them on the camera itself, which I think is great.

basically i get what i pay for and much more. I love this camera. however, when i switch from other modes to the camera mode, it takes a while for the LCD to show the brightness which might be something that'll malfunction in the future (for a really destructive person!).

This is a great camera for the price. It offers multiple settings for a range of photographic situations. The one flaw that I have found in the six weeks I have been using it is the photos get a little grainy when shooting indoors or in lower light conditions. But that has not kept me from enjoying this camera.

I am bad at taking pictures because my camera was always so big and the batteries kept dying.
With this camera I can charge the lithium battery and take it any where!

I love this camera. The only thing that I would say needed improvement is to have the LCD light up brighter during the daylight. If your outside, you can barely see the LCD. Setting the Scene to Beach/Snow does help, but it could be better. Otherwise, it is a great buy!

We currently own a digital SLR although we travel allot and it wasn't always convenient to bring it if trying to just bring carry on luggage on our flight. We chose this camera due to it's small size and also because it has a 5 time optical zoom rather than a measly 3 time zoom like most other compact cameras. My wife also bought a small compact samsonite case and it all fits nicely in her purse without fear of ever getting damaged. We have learned that this is the camera we use most.

I purchased this for a gift. I wanted to make sure the camera was ready to give and use, so I charged the battery and inserted the SD Card but it would not power on. Much to my disappointment I was not able to test the camera. I currently own several Nikon cameras and this is the first time that I have ever encountered this problem.
