This is the first Nikon product I haven't been really happy with. The lens cover is flimsy & broke after 4 days of casual use. The replacement is ok but it is still very flimsy & I don't put it under any undue stress. The cover for the batter/SD card compartment is wobbly & loose. It just isn't the robust, go anywhere, do anything camera that my old Coolpix L4 was. The touch screen is cool but not all that responsive, which was a bit of a disappointment since I have had experience with other touch screen technology. It would classify as easy to use if the touchscreen was more responsive. Overall, it takes OK pictures, is small enough to tuck into a pocket & is fun to use outside of its shortcomings.

I use my S60 for self pictures, outdoors for sports events, indoors to send to my family and anything else I can take a picture of and review later. The zoom is a real plus along with the turn the camera and the picture turns as well. The back panel touch screen is absolutely a users dream and the review screen itself is big enough to really get a great idea of what you are taking a picture of. The best feature about this camera is that you do not need to have a PhD in photography to enjoy using it right out of the box. My wife bought a digital camera and it is somewhat more difficult to use and it cost $200 more. Thanks for creating a digital camera for the rest of us that want to totally enjoy the art of taking, keeping and sharing pictures.

I used this camera for all my holiady shots and got wonderful pictures. The pictures of New Year's Eve Fireworks are terrific!!! I also love the shadow correction - had someone take a group photo that had shadows on the faces due to bright windows behind us but the correction feature turned it into a nice picture memory.
