Just got this camera - so far I am very happy with it. Nice and light and easy to pop in a pocket. Great pictures - clear and bright!

Comments about Nikon Nikon Coolpix S630 Digital Camera with 12.0 Megapixel, 7x Optical Zoom, 4x Digital Zoom, 2.7" LCD Display, Black:

First of all I am a long time Nikon SLR user. FM, F3, D300 and soon to be D3. Always had Canon point and shoots. Decided to give this a try based on the long zoom range and feel of the camera. The camera fits the hand well, is small and light. Nice and thin too. Fits into your pocket well. Outside in sunlight results are great. But inside or in low light situations the noise is unacceptable. I am wondering if something is wrong with the camera because of the huge difference in quality between daylight and other lighting situations. Also, the zoom function is way too fast. You can't zoom in small increments. Don't know if this is common to all the new 630's as I have not read any reviews. Bought this on my previous Nikon history but am regretting it now.
