This camera and the "multiple purpose" 10x lens (18-180 mm zoom), are the best quality/price rate to start in digital SLR photography. I love the accurate colors and the easy to use controls but the lack of rugged body is an important cons for the outdoors use.

Did not like the kit lenses. Tests show a low level of aberations and distortions. If you are more then an amateur, buy the Pro lenses. Excellent quality.
