This is a great camera for someone starting out or for anyone looking for more than what a point & shoot can offer. I've owned mine for two years and have few complaints. I've mostly shot landscapes with this camera and have had excellent results. Images are sharp and colors are vibrant.

I would list my complaints as;
1.) The Four Thirds system cameras are limited in options for quality lenses which can be hard on your wallet.

2.) Frames per second is slow making fast action difficult to capture.

3.) Excessive "noise" over ISO 400.

On the whole, I am very happy with this camera's perfomance. With what you get for the cost, I can't really hold complaints 1 & 2 against it however the noise levels are dissapointing.

For the money, and alot more money this is the best camera ever, i have owned them all, Nikon, Minolta, Cannon, Pentax, Kodak, you name it, and this is by far the most bang ever for my buck. Plus I saved over $500 with Adorama, $499 is just to good for what i got with a lens? Wow! with the 510 coming, why spend $1000 for it when you can get this for $500?

Wow, what can I say about this camera? I have a Fuji Finepix S3, A Nikon D100, A Canon Rebel XT, and this by far is my favorite because it's small, but not small enough to feel small and does all the things all the other cameras do, but costs so much less!

I got the combination that has the wide and zoom lense included. Get that, and you're all set!
