I upgraded from an e420 to get image stabilization, but the 620 offers a suite of other features as well, including a swivel/tilt LCD. The Super Control Panel on the LCD makes it incredibly easy to change most of the settings that you would use on a daily basis. Olympus image quality is superb, even straight out of the camera in JPEG. And the kit lenses are far better, from all the reviews I've read, than those from other camera manufacturers. Plus you can use legacy glass from film cameras with an adapter, which is an inexpensive way to get your hands on prime lenses. I wanted a compact camera, but the micro 4/3 cameras lack an optical viewfinder, which was essential to me, so I went with this one. With the 25mm pancake lens attached, this is still very compact. I love this camera.
Note: I purchased this camera refurbished, but it looks new. I checked the shutter actuations: there were only 256 when I took the camera out of the box.

I own an Olympus E-500, but wanted more pixels. The E-620 uses same lenses, is faster, and has more useful features in addition to more pixels. The viewfinder indicator bar helps me to quickly adjust in manual mode for just the exposure that I want.
I'm still learning what all this camera can do, but so far I am very pleased.

I purchased this cam because I hate to post process images. JPEG images
from this cam require very little post processing. Also for the price,
olympus optics simply can't be beat. The only fault I can find with the system is that the dynamic range may not be as good as other DSLR systems. But I can live with a little less dynamic range in exchange for excellent affordable optics and not having to post process a lot of images and shoot raw.

Just a hobbyist photographer new to the game of DSLR. Generally auto focus speed is reasonable. Low light tends to make the focus hunt. You can get around this by using an external flash that shoots the red focus grid. Pay extra for the high grade Olympus lenses and be rewarded with sharp and vivid pictures.

Totally satisfied with the performance of this camera, I have other ZD lenses, and with the 50mm attached to it, it rocks.

I decided on this camera because I was going from an OMG to a digital and Olympus recommended it as a replacement. With the 4/3 adapter I can use my old lenses with it. It works beautifully so far except for the internal flash. It seems to be directed to the left which could have something to do with it being a refurbished model, I don't know.
