I am a very basic point and shooter and don't want to spend a lot of time figuring out my camera. Pros-This camera has a great menu lay out I was able to fumble thru and figure out it's functions without the manual. I am very happy with picture quality and the available functions. Works great in the water no problems and pics looks good to me. (Really freaks people out..kinda fun :0)Negative- I did find out after purchase,that you must send it in once a year to Olympus to have the underwater seals replaced [...]. It is definitely a bit sluggish from time I push the button to the time the picture is taken.

I am an artist who paints from photos of people in water... mostly swimming pools. Been shooting with two 35mm Nikons for years... but LOVE the immediacy of digital! It also makes great prints!

Fantastic buy for parents! My daughter can drop it or while feeding her, she can get stuff all over it and all I have to do is wash it off! The only downside to the camera is if you put it in your pocket, the lens protector does occasionally slide down and turn the camera on. (I'm sure there's a way to turn that function off; I'm just not sure how)

I like that fact that this camera is rugged and can get wet.
