I've been using the K110 for lot's of closeups & macros (also using several long & short lenses from my K1000 kit) under indoor/outdoor/low-light conditions & getting great results! I haven't had this much fun since I first started using the K1000! I think Pentax has always been one of the best systems out there (I've used Pentax exclusively since 1965). I have always & will continue to use Pentax when it comes to small format equipment. I would recommend this outfit to anyone looking for a solid entry-level DSLR--having some K, KA mount lenses already is another plus! I haven't found anything to dislike about this camera. It does everything I expected & works as advertised.

I was particularly struck with how well thought-out and arranged the controls are, and I picked up the camera's operation quickly. It can accept all the old Pentax K-mount lenses, and even M42 lenses with an adaptor. However, I found some old third-party lenses will not fit or may need to be modified. Auto white balance is not reliable, and the autofocus sometimes has problems in low light or when shooting black objects -- but these seem to be common faults of many DSLRs. Shake reduction is quite useful and works with all the old lenses. It can use rechargeable AA batteries or disposable CR-V3 lithium, which counted as a plus for me. The mirror-based viewfinder is pretty decent but not as good as the prism-based viewfinder in the Pentax K10D. After a couple weeks testing and practicing with this camera, I'm well pleased and expect to be using it for a long time to come.
