I recently had a complete shouder replacement and cannot yet handle my Canon EOS cameras. But, I can still take assignments using this camera. (S850) I use a Flashpoint monopod and let the camera do most of the work, although I control exposure for the most part.
My clients do notice the difference, but ask me about my new approach as I work in ultra wide and ultra telephoto with this camera most of the time. Head shots with the flash for fill or with studio lights are easy and it is really what you see = what you get because of live view.
