This is our first DSLR and it's been great so far. The controls are intuitive. It has heft, but it's not too heavy. The grip is a good size for someone with medium to big hands. The kit lens is good for general use and can produce some good results.

I purchased this camera to replace my Minolta due to the platform used. That and the in camera stabilization system.
Has been a bit of a learning experiance as this is my first digatal camer of any kind. Kinda hard for me to compare with other cameras.
