The lens is excellent to add to a zoom lens for sporting events like foodball games when you want to get close to the action from the stands. You have to be careful to adjust the zoom so you do not pick up the sides of the lens in your picture. Of course you can use the circular effect if you desire to your advantage or later crop out the circular sides the zoom is seeing. Also it is best to use manual focus if your camera is not designed to focus automatically at such a distance.
