The lens adapter provides a very nice wide angle image with limited distortion. It is very useful for portraits and landscape photography. Short focal length allows fast shooting with minimal adjusting when set to infinity in manual mode. Be prepared to add the cost of the hood adapter into your investment. I am disappointed the lens adapter has no threading for a filter.

purpose was to cut down size of kit for pano VR and also be used as "holiday" camera. Has certainly cut down size of kit but to many "bits" to use as tourist camera and therefore a bit bulky (I like very small stuff you can easily put in your back pocket). However very nice gear, works well and good quality. George
