Comments about Kingston Technology Kingston Technology 8 GB, 45x Elite Pro Compact Flash Memory Card:

So far (about 2 months worth of shooting) this CF card is capturing and delivering my files flawlessly. Even though the card is not as fast as some other cards I own, the few times I've used continuous drive on my Canon EOS 20D, I've never gotten ahead of its write cycle.

We have previously used a "Pro" 1GB card, but 8x the storage, a rapid transfer rate plus the rebate made this a must purchase item. Very happy!

Comments about Kingston Technology Kingston Technology 8 GB, 45x Elite Pro Compact Flash Memory Card:

I think I can shoot about 4000 pictures at the highest 4MP quality. The camera takes a few seconds longer to boot before it says how much space is available. And I can't take a picture until it figures out how much space is left. I'm certain that this is the fault of the camera (probably never expected so much space available) and not the card. I bought this for a two week trip to Mexico and San Diego and since I can't bring a laptop to off-load my pictures I wanted to have a large capacity card in my ultra portable camera.

I can't speak to the speed of the card.

It's great for PDAs, if you want to carry your whole music collection with you. Now, I leave my mp3 player at home and just use my PDA. I also recommend for faster uploads, use the MWAVE ALL IN ONE USB 2.0 CARD READER AND WRITER [...]

By TobiasVerified Reviewer from Los Angeles, CA on 4/17/2007
Cons:
Slower than slow
Bottom Line:

Comments about Kingston Technology Kingston Technology 8 GB, 45x Elite Pro Compact Flash Memory Card:

It's only a 45x card, and though the price after rebate is good, I would at the very least recommend the 133x version for 10 dollars more instead. This card is painfully slow.
