I'd used one of the three with no problems but when I saw the reports here from other buyers I filled all three, deleted them, reformated the cards, and haven't had a problem show up.
If this is a bad lot I hope it's identified and recalled/replaced without problems or question.

I have used Sandisk products for many years now, btu recent;y purchased these 3 that seem to be flawed, a bad batch. I had to pay $450 to retrieve my photos I took at a wedding with this card that seemed to stop working at around 300 shots...nothing I could do could retrieve them. I am contacting Sandisk to get new ones that aren't flawed

I bought the set of three with the rebate on Adorama. Thought I got a great deal until one of the three went down on a very important event shoot. Lost 300 images temporarily. Fortunately I recovered the images by paying a company to retrieve them. SanDisk has replaced my three with their superior product and now I'm much happier.

I purchased 4 of these cards and used them on an assignment over the weekend shooting in RAW. I filled all four the first day- no problem. Filled all four the second day- no problem.

Well, what can I say that these other guys haven't. Same exact thing happened to me the other night, also at a job. Same hard freeze, corruption, everything. Thought having 2 backups would be good enough, but all 3 managed to fail within the course of 3 hours.

Same as above. Bought three cards from Adorama recently and all failed on first use. Lost a number of images. Awaiting RMA from Sandisk. I have seen reports elsewhere of this being related to a specific batch number but have not seen any signs that Sandisk is addressing the issue proactively.

Comments about SanDisk SanDisk 8 GB Extreme IV Compact Flash Memory Card - Pack of 3:
It seems this batch of Extreme IV 8GB CF cards from Adorama were all flawed. My friend and I purchased 3 of these at separate times and among our 6 cards, 4 have failed ON THE JOB. During testing, only 1 failed, so we figured it was a fluke. But, during 3 separate jobs, 4 of these cards failed. The cards would freeze the camera, lock up the shutter, the read/write light would stay on for at least 10-15 seconds, and corrupt about 8-10% of the images from the end. About 2-3% cannot even be read. If removed immediately, the card can still be read by card reader, but the longer you keep it in the camera and continue messing with it, the more images you will corrupt. Both of us used Canon 5D MK2's and both of us finished the jobs with older Sandisk cards. This is very unsettling for pros.[...] Sandisk CS was great in handling the situation and has opened a no-timeline investigation into this particular batch (BI090506477B)

Comments about SanDisk SanDisk 8 GB Extreme IV Compact Flash Memory Card - Pack of 3:
I had two of these cards, brand-spanking new, die on me today. Both worked fine until I really hit the shutter and filled the buffer - at which point they basically froze. The camera wouldn't display the photos any more, or even the menu for that matter. When it happened with the first card, I assumed it was a fluke and I was able to get most of the photos off the card, aside from about the last 30. The second card is not even recognized when connected to my (SanDisk) card reader, so the image recovery software doesn't even seem like an option.
I've owned a number of CF cards by SanDisk and Lexar, and never had an issue like this before. These new ones, 45MB/s UDMA with the sort of new look, are bunk.
