works like it's supposed to and it's very easy to use; plug it in, turn it on, and make sure the camera's set for it. it works and for the price, it's worth it.

On power up, be prepared for a long (almost 2 minute) wait for a gps fix. After that it's great. I have a D90 and use Nikon's Viewer and Google's Picasa 3. What makes it so cool, in either "viewer", using the Geotag button will give a popup of either Google Earth or Google Maps (internet connection required) with the exact location shown. Hint: If you took 644 pictures at one location, don't "geotag" any more than one or two pictures into Google Earth or you will have a nasty mess on the screen.
Maybe "tagging" the first picture shot (only) at a single location would be appropriate.
Battery life doesn't seem to be diminished hardly worth noticing. I took 644 pictures at one location and still had more power to go.
Finally, it does what it's supposed to do, nothing more, nothing less.
