The previous reviewer clearly had the intellect of a stick insect. Yes it is film and no you cannot buy anything for $300-400 with this sort of quality. It will last for decades and allow use of some of the finest lenses ever made.

Maybe for some a $5k bundle of pixels and plastic is ideal, but there remains a place for beautifully made film cameras. To suggest otherwise is like saying there is no point in classic Ferraris because a Toyota Corolla is more modern.
