Comments about Canon Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Auto Focus Lens - U.S.A.:

This is lens an excellent alternative kit lens to the lower cost 18-55 zoom and worth the additional dollars. I'm likely to purchase another lens for candid indoor shooting.

Basically used as an everyday walk around lens. A jack of all trades if you will. Serves this purpose well so far.

Comments about Canon Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Auto Focus Lens - U.S.A.:

I got this lens with my new T2i. I am very happy with its very generous focal range 18-135 which covers allot of ground for most domestic use.

The IS feature really works and allows (with a little practice) sharp results at speeds of 1/30 or even slower!

My main gripe is the sense of "warmness" in the images - as apposed to clear bright found in higher end lenses.

As a general purpose lens for an enthusiast - its great.

Comments about Canon Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Auto Focus Lens - U.S.A.:

This lens stays on my T2i all the time. The inclusion of the 18mm is truly versatile and performs as well as its predecessor -the 28-135. Though not quite the build quality of the old EF 28-135, it's bit lighter.

Pictures are relatively sharp. Focus is fast outdoors or in good+ light. Not the best of choices for indoor -average- light without flash. But...then again...not many lenses are. Get yourself a speedlite w/ diffuser for indoors for optimum reults.

Definitely a great all around lens for a VERY good price. Performance and functionality is just as good as the old 28-135 and then some with the added range!

Thanks canon!

Comments about Canon Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Auto Focus Lens - U.S.A.:

Although this is not a prime lens it is the lens that 'lives' on my camera because of it's range hence it is my prime lens. So far I have only good things to say about it and its performance.

Canon should consider the inclusion of the hood (optional hood, added cost) and just raise the price of the lens to include the hood making it a better deal all the way around.

Alas, this is not the case.

Good focal length for every day use.Very fast and accurate auto focus. Nice sharp pictures and color. Not top of the line but not everybody needs to plunk down big bucks for the L lenses.
