This lens is worth every penny I paid for, I simply love it. The pictures taken outdoor are sharp and crisp,good even in low light. Had same good experience indoor. A certain degree of distortion was anticipated, but I was pleasantly surprised
how little it is.

This lens has significant vignetting issues. The color output is also questionable. Some of these things can be corrected in PS, but if you're serious save and get better glass. The lens felt solid and the build quality was good, but it just does not deliver the image quality you'd expect from Canon.

I love to walk around with this lens on my 5D. At f/2.8 in daylight there is obvious spherical aberration but by f/4 that completely disappears and this lens is very sharp. This lens is more rectilinear than the L zooms and that's very important to me.
