The 24 II is simply a stunning lens. In every facet it is an upgrade from the original.
Color, sharpness, corners, re-design of independent tilt/shift rotation it simply a better tool than the original. Much better.

This lens is a MUST HAVE upgrade if you currently shoot the version 1 of this lens, PERIOD. No more chromatic aberration... Almost no flare... And now, you can alter the relationship between the tilt and the shift from perpendicular to parallel to each other -- without taking the case apart or sending back to Canon.
This has to be one of the sharpest lenses I have ever used -- corner to corner on a full-frame. Mounted on a 5D MK II with 'Live View', you can dial in as much shift as you like (with little to no distortion), zoom in 10x, focus, and fire.
Build Quality: like a tank. Rock Solid. An 82mm filter size feels like you are staring down the barrel of a howitzer.
One of Canon's best, by far. Take a deep breath, submit your order, and prepare to be STUNNED. Yes, it's expensive as all getout... but in the end, if you shoot a lot of architecture, or landscape, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!
