This lens takes nice pictures but the zoom ring feels tight and not smooth as it should be, maybe it needs to be worn in but i doubt that...for the price though its a bargain.

I thought this would be a good, low priced lens to "break-in" my newly acquired, used, Canon 5d DSLR. It wasn't. There was just too much vignetting with the full frame Canon. I'm sure this lens is fine with 35mm or even EF-S mounts, if its compatible, but not with a full frame camera. Even the higher quality 28-135mm IS USM lens shows vignetting at the widest angle, though Canon's Digital Photo Pro software cleans it up nicely. It looks like I really do need an L series lens to get the full potential from this camera.
