This is a great addition to my camera bag, works good but truly needs lot of light. So far it appears to be a great product. The use of a tripod is a plus but not needed everytime. Do recommend this product

Comments about Kenko Kenko Teleplus PRO 300 "DG" AF 2x Teleconverter for Nikon AF D:

Using this converter with a Nikkor 300/2.8 AF-I and I've been very happy with the results. With the converter I'm taking shots that have always been way too far until now. Works best on a bright day but can still hand hold this set-up.

Comments about Kenko Kenko Teleplus PRO 300 "DG" AF 2x Teleconverter for Nikon AF D:

Not functional as auto focus with Nikon nor Sigma lenses. Probably should have ordered 1.4x vice 2.0x. In auto... this continually searches for focus and never seems to get it right. Only use I got was to go 'manual' and set the focus myself. That prevents anything dynamic. If you can't afford a higher power telephoto and are going to use a teleconverter...pay the extra to match your lens (Nikon, Sigma or whatever) as same brands probably works much better.

Comments about Kenko Kenko Teleplus PRO 300 "DG" AF 2x Teleconverter for Nikon AF D:

As stated in the specs, needed to use manual focus on AF lenses that came with my D-60. Focus is very touchy, even at long distances. Would probably work better with faster (read heavier and more expensive)lenses. Does work a bit better on my non-AF Sigma 75-300 mm lens. As with all long lenses however, you really need a tripod for sharp pictures.

That said, I have taken some very fine pictures with this product and the overall sharpness from edge to edge is excellent making it great for landscapes.

I love this Tele Converter and to my surprize it worked on more of my lenses than expected, the only one it did not work on was my 300-800 Sigma and that was only in auto focus in manual it worked great and the resolution is as good as any of my Nikon Tele converters but it is far less money

This 2x converter works great. I use it with my 60mm 2.8 Nikkor Micro lens the most, but have used it with the Nikon 70-300mm f/4.5 - 5.6G ED-IF AF-S VR Lens and have to focus it manually because the teleconverter definitely needs a f/4 or better. I have taken some great shots with it and it does come in handy.
