This is a great lens for the days when you don't want to carry three or four faster lenses. I was a bit concerned about buying a refurbished product, but it's been fine.

Everybody puts down super-zooms. Yes, they are not fast apperture lenses, nor they are prime lenses. However, super-zooms have a use and therefore a nieche market.
I needed a little more reach on my 18-200VR so I went and bought this one. It's everything I expected it to be, and more. But don't kid yourself: it's a heavy lens...a lot of glasss in that lens....but it is sharp!
If you've liked the 18-200 VR, you are going to love this lens...
