I bought this as a refurbished lens and it was as new with no evidence of use or wear. The 60mm is a very sharp lens for general purposes. It's a true macro lens with a 1:1 reproduction ratio at a focal distance of about 8 inches. That 8 inches is a plus and minus because it can limit the lighting you can put on the subject.

I purchased this lens about one month ago for close-up photography. I've purchased refurbished Nikon lenses in the past, but I was blown away at the shape of this lens. Was practically brand new. It is a frickin' sharp lens and is excellent for portraits as well as macro photography. I love this prime lens and I'll be back to Adorama in search of more gems.

Fantastic lens with amazing build quality, perfectly weighted, great for portraits and the obvious Micro shots. This lens produces great colors and amazing clarity....I love it and it spends 85% of its time on my D200

This lens was like new. No scuffs or marks. No sign of wear at all. Adorama so far has been awesome with their Nikon refurbs.
