Was scared to by a $2,200+ "refurbished" lens however, I took the plunge and am SO GLAD I DID!
Aside from having the original box and 5 year warranty, everything else is immaculate and in perfect new working order. Without any doubt I would buy a Nikon refurb again.

I was skeptical at first to buy a refurbished product, specifically one this expensive- however knowing that this lens has been through QC twice offered me peace that whatever was wrong was fully corrected. The lens received is absolutely beautiful and so far providing flawless operation and quality.....and I can't wait to put it into full working action.

I love this lens,work really good on low light situation like in a wedding, it's perfect for portrait and fashion shoot, and the bokeh is really beautiful and provide a good separation of the subject

I'd been sweating this lens for some time. And now that it's in my hot little hands, I wonder why I procrastinated! Is the lens heavy..YES.. but I knew that (check the tech specs) and don't count it as a "con". This lens offers exceptional clarity and contrast. The VR feature is ideal, both in normal and active modes, for hand held shooting. Auto focus is smooth and precise. Manual focus ring is well calibrated and smooth. There is NOTHING not to love about this lens. Oh, and I would never have known this was a refurbished item... it arrived in pristine condition..
