It's not a "true" macro, but it does get to 0.5x life-size, which is great.
The tilt/shift controls are easy to use and include locking knobs.
As with any PC-E lens, it is manual-focus only, but the focus ring turns smoothly and is well-damped in its motion.
The depth-of-field control is amazing, which is a good thing, because shooting this wide open means a *very* shallow DOF. Take your time to set everything up correctly and you won't be disappointed.
