The statement that you should use the camera on SHUTTER priority is just plain WRONG! With a fixed Aperture lens like this one or a mirror lens, the Camera must be either on Manual, or APERTURE priority.

received lens on the day of a full moon with a partial eclipse, results were astonishing from this low price lens. Have a Nikon D70, contrary to product guide that you have to use it on shutter priority you need to set camera to manual. Nothing bad to say about this lens
