Comments about Sigma Sigma 50-200mm f/4-5.6 DC OS HSM Compact Telephoto Zoom Lens for Canon EOS Digital SLR Cameras:

After having to sell my equipment due to a family emergency, I was looking for a way to resume shooting, without having to put my family into deep debt. Enter the Sigma 50-200mm f/4-5.6 DC OS HSM lens. With the small pricetag, I really did not expect output that didn't require a great deal of help from post-production. Then, I received the lens. It left me breathless and speechless. Canon L-series glass didn't even impress me the way this lens did! Tack sharp images with great contrast and color saturation. And with the inclusion of OS (Optical Stabilization), the f/4-5.6 aperture isn't a roadblock to indoor shooting. Turn OS on and you can shoot a stationary subject with sharp results with shutter speeds of 1/25 second, without a flash. All-in-all, this lens is of incredible quality without the ridiculous price mark-up that Canon charges for "Image Stabilization". Budget lens - big time results!

Comments about Sigma Sigma 50-200mm f/4-5.6 DC OS HSM Compact Telephoto Zoom Lens for Canon EOS Digital SLR Cameras:

I bought this lens to use on my Canon Rebel, converted to Infrared only. So far the lens performs very well with no "hot spots" on my images.I really like the price and performance. At this time I have nothing negative to say about the lens.

I love this lens. It is my everyday lens. Images are sharp and the OS stabilizer works better than the IS stabilizer on some of my canon lenses. Fast autofocus.

Comments about Sigma Sigma 50-200mm f/4-5.6 DC OS HSM Compact Telephoto Zoom Lens for Canon EOS Digital SLR Cameras:

I did a lot of research before purchasing a telephoto Lens for my Canon XSi. I wanted something that would have good range and be reliable, but I didn't have a lot of extra cash to blow. This seemed to be the perfect lens for what I wanted, and it is. The only downside I have found is that it doens't perform well in Low Light. Other than that, great lens.

Comments about Sigma Sigma 50-200mm f/4-5.6 DC OS HSM Compact Telephoto Zoom Lens for Canon EOS Digital SLR Cameras:

Beat all expectations I had for the price. Sharp images, quite motor, image stabilizer is very reliable. At the time of purchase had a similar Canon model, and ended selling it because I liked the results from this one so much better. Works well for indoor/outdoor portraits and nature photography. Also feels like quality construction. Also internal focus really a plus.

Comments about Sigma Sigma 50-200mm f/4-5.6 DC OS HSM Compact Telephoto Zoom Lens for Canon EOS Digital SLR Cameras:

Used this the first day I got it and it performed great. The OS (optical stabilizer) is great to have, especially since my hands are a little shaky. It focuses very quick, and I especially like the fact that it the focus is internal. Gives you some good reach when needed. It hunts a little in low light but it is not bad at all. Has great bokeh and produces very sharp pictures. This is an excellent addition as a walk around lens. This lens is now on about half the time, the other half I use my canon 60mm f2.8 dedicated macro which also is great.
