Sony put everything into producing a nice sharp photo but had to make it up on body construction and SAM focus motor. It all works very nicely together but don't expect $500 worth of features on this sub-$200 lens. Well-suited for use as a short focal length portrait lens (equivalent to full frame 50mm lens).
