This lens is great for walk around and low light. Use your feet more instead of standing in one spot. It's light weight and a pleasure to use with my Sony a850 My copy of this lens is sharp at all f/stops. I love it. Buy it if you can.

the fast lens is great for shooting children who are rarely still. The bright lens reduces the need for flash in many instances.
The fixed lens takes a little getting used to after using zooms.
The lens is very well made and I'm happy to add it to my collection of camera equipment.

I use an 18-250mm, f3.5-6.3 zoom lens for most situations.
For indoor sports, this 50mm f1.4 lens is a great addition.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this lens--at a fraction of the cost--as sharp as those carrying the Carl Zeiss label.
