Great lens, awesome IQ, Fast. My only problem has been with the focus range switch which is easily moved out of position while holding the lens.

One of the best telephotos.

Took this beast with me on a trip out West and it was terrific for its intended purpose. I was able to photograph animals and waterfalls perfectly and the results were really sharp and beautiful. The focusing motor is so quiet, you sometimes look down at the lens to see if its really working. It is a bit heavy but well worth it. Saw several of them on other Sonys but also Canon.

One nice lens. Sharp pictures. I had the Sigma variant and it was not as sharp as this lens. You will not be disappointed if you get this lens.

I was skeptical on the purchase at first for its steep price but when I tried it I was astounded. The lense was pretty quiet and quick to focus. Its rugged and heavy, its a great investment so far. I shoot athletic events and wildlife.
