this lens has been really easy to use and to get used to. being wide angle i do have watch for the extra shadowing that can result for this type of lens, but that come with using a wide angle lens.

I bought this lens to photograph to photograph the kitchens and bathrooms my husband remodels. He takes the "before" shots with the point and shoot and I come in to shoot the "afters" with my 7D. So far this lens has done exactly what it is supposed to do. I have also gotten a great shot of the inside of a fairly new train station. I was able to get the entire waiting room into the shot which I was not able to do with my 18 - 135 kit lens.

The lens is solidly buit, a bit heavy, but I use it with a tripod so it's weight is not that much of an issue. So far I am very happy with this Tamron lens.

The included lens hood goes a long way to eliminate lens flaring. It's a bit bulky, but worth using.

This is a great lens for an entry-level ultra wide.

Have used it on and off with a Canon T1i but originally purchased it for use with an EOS 5D Mark II. Unfortunately it vignettes towards 15mm so whilst the sales information describes it as a lens that is the equivalent of xx-xx on a crop sensor, it doesn't indicate that on a full frame sensor, it will require some cropping below 15mm.

Still seems to compare well to my Canon 10-22mm EF-S lens.

Note that Adorama's comments template for this lens seem to indicate a filter, not the lens itself.

I bought this Tamron instead of the stock Canon 18-55mm IS lens because I wanted something better suited to good landscape photography. The reviews on the lens from other users were good and once attached to the used Canon T1i I got from Adorama, it's been producing good results. Autofocus is fast enough and it doesn't tend to hunt for a focus lock in lower light. The lens is well constructed and the optics seem good too.

About the only thing I'd add to it would be image stabilization however since it will be used a lot on a tripod, that's really not going to make any difference.

This is ,i think, the widest lens without going fisheye. This lens is awesome! It's heavy but adds to the feel all around of the lens. it's got solid construction, nothing on this lens is loose or weak. my only complaint is the focusing ring is perfect rather the zoom ring is pretty stiff! the backwards zooming is hard to get used to coming from canon but easily trainable.

The widest i was able to get before was with my 18-55mm canon (kit lens). i got hired to take pics of some newly built houses and this lens will easily fulfill just that! the 18-55 naturally only goes to 70 deg field of view. this goes out to 108 deg. fits with the rest of my "budget equip"

i bought this lens with the kit package, the adorama cleaning kit and tiffen filter. the cleaning kit is more than i thought it was. i though i never needed any of that cleaning supplies. but i've gone through all my equip now with this kit. it even has i think 3 lcd protectors that are extensively outlined so you can cut out your appropriate size. it even gives you a squeegee to apply the protectors. to include q-tips, a glass cloth, and liquid glass cleaner which conveniently replenished my stock.

The filter works as advertised. it is truely perfect and solid construction. i recognized the fact that this filter is for a wide angle lens, thus no more than needed protruding out in front of the lens which lead me to buying the B+W slip on cap. it too works however i have to pull the pedal hood off my lens to slide it in my pack and when i pull my lens out of my pack the lens always comes off. minor but annoying.

This is a very sharp lens that feels great in the hands while in use. Price is good for what you get compared to Canon lens. I own several Tamrons and all of them are a great value.

I have owned this lens a couple of months. I love the 10-24 range on this lens, making it a very useful lens for landscape and general outdoor photography. It is also important to note that this lens minimum focal distance is 9.75". I have found this a very fun and useful feature.
The lens has very good auto focus performance in adequate light, but is a little slow indoors in low light.

I have owned this lens for only a couple months. I have enjoyed the 10-24 zoom range of this lens. It is excellent for landscape photography. The copy that I am using is sharp and works well on my 50D. I recomend using the hood outdoors, since it is rather succeptible to lens flare if you do not. One great feature of this lens is the minimum focus distance of 9.75". I enjoy experimenting with the close perspective and deep depth of field this lens can provide. The zoom range offers a great flexibility as a walk-around lens when you don't require telephoto.
