Resolution is obviously beyond Leica 75mm Summicron APO APSH. Sharpness and color fidelity equal the Leica lens. The advantages of the Sonnar are increased magnification and exceptional rendering of symmetrical shapes (which the 75mm Summicron flattens). At f2 and f2.8, EV correction is required on the M8. The lens is highly susceptible to flare. Used with verstand, the Sonnar equals the Leica 50mm Summilux ASPH in very way!
