Comments about Adorama Adorama Canon FD Lens to EOS Body Adapter:
I ordered an adapter to mount some older EF lenses to my Canon 50D. The mount fits the camera but does not mount onto the EF lenses

Comments about Adorama Adorama Canon FD Lens to EOS Body Adapter:
The ring fits fine on my Xsi body. My 28mm FD lens will not mount. The 70-200 zoom is only sort of useful in macro mode, will not focus otherwise, and the 300mm seems not to care what aperature and shutter speed you use, everything comes out with the same over exposure. Camera can't seem to cope. NOT WORTH THE MONEY...too many bugs.

Comments about Adorama Adorama Canon FD Lens to EOS Body Adapter:
I wanted to use this on a Canon 7D and with my stockpile of old FD lenses. The adapter fits on the 7D fine. The problem is all the FD lenses I have all fit loose. I realized that I would have to set the aperture manually and then use shutter priority on the camera. That worked fine. But with the lens being loose I would suspect the image quality would be suspect. I will be returning this adapter and trying a different one.
Comments about Adorama Adorama Canon FD Lens to EOS Body Adapter:
I had researched similar products and their downsides. I bought this so my digital Canon would accept a combination zoom/macro lens. I was most interested in the macro function.
The lens does not fit tightly to the camera, i.e., wiggles. The zoom feature of the lens does not work, the macro does.

Comments about Adorama Adorama Canon FD Lens to EOS Body Adapter:
this was a waste of money...
it fits securely on my camera but I can't focus the lens. Everything is blurry, regardless of trying to manually focus the lens. All automatic features with the camera body do not work with the lens attachment.

This item does not perform as listed. Mounts properly to the EOS body and FD lens. However lens cannot focus.

Comments about Adorama Adorama Canon FD Lens to EOS Body Adapter:
It was not easy to mount and remove the adapter from the lens as well as from the camera. When mounted on the camera it did not feel securely in place and I was afraid the whole lens would fall of the camera.
Comments about Adorama Adorama Canon FD Lens to EOS Body Adapter:
I purchased this to use Canon FD lenses on my Canon EOS 5D. It was difficult to mount and dismount the adapter from the lens as well as the camera. When mounted, there still was a play in it. [...]

Comments about Adorama Adorama Canon FD Lens to EOS Body Adapter:
The performance of this adapter to convert your old FD lenses for general purpose usage may or may not be disappointing. My usage of this adapter with my Canon XSi has not achieved the critical focus that I expect and my shots contain a small amount of color fringing. However, by removing the glass element from this adapter (easily done by simply unscrewing it), it will allow your old FD lenses to be used for close-up and macro photography with great results. Short of purchasing new dedicated macro lenses, this adapter is the next best thing and the shots are Great!

Comments about Adorama Adorama Canon FD Lens to EOS Body Adapter:
Great especially at the price. Solid construction. The lens is very easily removable and put back with a few turns of the mount that holds it. This can be done with one's fingers. By so doing, this adapter can be used instead of the original Canon macro lens mount adapter. The Cannon adapter(s) cost a small fortune, if they can be found at all.

Comments about Adorama Adorama Canon FD Lens to EOS Body Adapter:
I bought this adapter chiefly to couple my Canon FD bellows to my Canon 20D dSLR. It does a good job of coupling the two mechanically and interposes no image-degrading optics. This sort of adapter cannot provide infinity focus for Canon FD lenses nor can it add autofocus to these lenses. That's not what it's for. However, if you have older FD accessories such as the bellows or extension tubes and lenses and you don't need to focus at infinity (because you're interested in close-up work, for example), then this is the lowest-cost adapter you'll find.

Comments about Adorama Adorama Canon FD Lens to EOS Body Adapter:
The adapter has a diopter lens built in and may be a problem when using it with some lenses. I use the adapter to connect my bellows to an Elan body. It works perfectly with the bellows.

Comments about Adorama Adorama Canon FD Lens to EOS Body Adapter:
it works as stated but the element in the adapter causes to much image quality loss. F stops must be set by hand but it will allow the use of your FD lenses on EOS bodies. It works fine on my 20D.

Comments about Adorama Adorama Canon FD Lens to EOS Body Adapter:
I bought this to use with a like new Vivitar Series 1 70-210 f2.8 macro Canon fd mount lens. This lens was sharp as a tack on my Canon A1 film camera. I used the adapter to put this lens on my Canon EOS 20d. The exposure and manual focus worked great as far as seeing fine detail in focus on the focus screen. However the resulting photos viewed at 100% were very disapointing requiring a good deal of sharping in Photoshop to get acceptable results. If I had it to do over I wouldn't bother. Maybe I'm doing something wrong.
