This is great for me, as I know where my lens cap is. It also reminds me to put it back on after using my camera. It can easily be removed.

I think this is a necessity when you have to remove the lens cap quickly to take a picture right away and don't have the time to put it in your pocket. Trust me, a couple of seconds does make a difference when you have to take a photo that otherwise will be a no show trying to look for your pocket. You just pull it out and let it hang from the camera.

easy to mount, great invention for the Nikon lens cap. Good price
The string barely reaches while using the prime lens, it would probably not reach at all with a longer lens

It fell of the lens cap within 4 days. The part that attaches to the camera side was poorly thougt-out. I found it to be junk. Don't waist your [$]

Just what I was looking for. I like that they can be quickly removed from the camera body when changing lenses.

I don't use this cap keeper for lens caps; I have no problem with lens caps. I use it as a "safety" device on my lens HOOD (for a Canon 24-105 f/4L lens). The hood on this lens has a habit of occasionally unscrewing, popping off, and becoming lost, at a cost of about [$]to replace (I found out the hard way!). So I started using a Cap Keeper on the hood and it has saved me from losing a hood a couple of times -- paying for itself many, many times over. The only "con" is that the stick-em that attaches the Cap Keeper to the lens hood wears out and lets go after a while (even though the hood is a smooth surface, to which it *should* adhere quite well). I cured that problem by attaching it to the hood with permanent epoxy glue :-).

Simple, straight-forward design. I love it because my wife no longer loses the lens cap on her camera! I bought one of these for her camera after the 3rd cap and liked it so much I bought a 3-pack for use with my other cameras.

Other lens cap holders/leashes use a relatively thin thread to attach the cap to an elastic band that fits around the lens barrel. The elastic band weakens with age and I have experienced this type sliding off the barrel quite easily. I was happy to find that the CapKeeper uses a heavy string to attach the cap to a clip, which in turn attaches to a strap loop on the camera body. No chance to lose the CapKeeper!
