Comments about Leica Leica 35mm f/1.4 SUMMILUX-M ASPHERICAL Black Wide Angle Manual Focus Lens for M System - USA:

I walked into Adorama in December 2009, took the "plunge," and bought this lens just before the price increase of Jan 2010. I use it with my M7 film camera, and I have not noticed any back focus issues with my copy. It definitely has a distinctive signature i.e., swirlly bokeh, high contrast, and mind boggling sharpness. It will flare a little bit if pointed towards the sun or very bright lighting, but it's nothing to worry about. If your looking for a 35mm lens for your rangfinder, then this is it; it really doesn't get any better in my opinion.

The porsche 911 of Lenses- Fast with lots of class.

Might also consider the new 28mm for wide angle.
