great replacement for the stock leather cover. may be possible to fall off but has not happened yet, just need to be cautious.

This is an elegantly simple solution to the cumbersome Canon "sock" type lens protector that comes with the 400MM lens. The Zeck cap is easy to take on and take off. Vast improvement.
One caution: With the lens hood in place, it can be difficult to see if it is fully seated. I found out the hard way when I lost the first one! I purchased and had to buy another. Now I know.
