I don't recall anymore just what I paid for this, but for the [$] I paid, I'm satisfied.There is visible glue coming from the seams which makes this thing kinda unsightly, but hey....it still works just fine.

I am not sure why I thought this would be sufficient enough for my Canon 85mm 1.8. I take full responsibility for making the wrong decision.
First of all, it only extends a 1/2" over the lens...so it's not really a traditional hood per se. I also couldn't get it to screw on correctly. The threading is kinda funky on this little guy.
I went ahead and ended up purchasing the Canon genuine hood for the Canon 85mm 1.8, which is what I should have done in the first place for such a nice lens.

This seems like an ok hood, but is bulky and doesn't feel like it will last very long. It will get me through until I can save enough allowance to buy a dedicated hood

Cheap alternative to some of the rediculously priced hoods out there. This works best with medium telephoto lenses and, as with all Adorama branded products, is well made and functional.
