Comments about Adorama Hama 67mm Telematic Zoom Lens Hood (for lenses 24mm to 210mm):

First off, a bit more product description. This is a metal mounting ring with a three segment, rubber hood that folds in on itself, giving 4 different positions for use. I recall the description saying you could screw filters into the hood, which I have not figured out, maybe it requires a different filter size for internal use. Regardless, it screwed into the UV filter I normally have mounted just fine.

I bought this hood in lieu of the Canon one for my 18-135mm zoom lens, since it is about half the cost and is adjustable. It does work quite well as a hood for the zoom lens, as the hood retracts back all the way for use at wide angle, then extends about 2" for telephoto shots, with a few positions in between for different focal lengths. The problem with the unit I received was that the rubber hood part is attached to the metal mounting ring at a bit of an angle. This causes uneven shading and some strange shadows at the edges of my shots. Were it built correctly, it would have rated 4 stars, since it does what it is supposed to do pretty well.
