Comments about Adorama Hama 77mm Telematic Zoom Lens Hood (for lenses 24mm to 210mm):
I have the 72mm version of this and I have never had any issues. It is very durable. I have been using this product for over 1 year. I even open it up sometimes to add some vignetting (using a wide angle lens). I have read other reviews stating that they have broke at the seams but I have not had any issue.

I have used three of these collapsible lens hoods on my Panasonic superzoom fixed-lens camera. They were perfect when new but, despite being very careful when extending or retracting the hood sections, every one split along the thin seams where the three hood sections fold over each other rendering them unusable. Hama (a German company) would not deal with me. Instead they referred me back to the store which replaced one of them only to have it fail as well. If you consider this a throw away consumable it works well. I don't want to buy them by the case however.
